Pours a deep opaque chocolate brown with a small tan head.
First Sip:Mild dark roasted, slightly sweet malts with a little chocolate flavour. Very mild hops bitterness that lingers for a while. Mouth-feel is medium, but with a watery taste and carbonation tingle.
Usually when I try a stout I expect big flavours: big malt, and/or big hops, and/or big coffee and/or chocolate. This one doesn't have that; it's just lots of mild flavours that are overwhelmed by the cheese I'm nibbling. At first I was a little disappointed, but then I thought about it. I could drink this stout all day. I wouldn't list this as a great stout but it's very nice and highly drinkable.
