You'll have to buy one here and import it.

It has to pass certification testing to meet all the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards laws (thousands of little items wrapped up in a big rulebook - 2.5 MPH or 5 MPH bumpers, side door intrusion beams, roof strength, crash survival, front and side airbags, lighting equipment, controls...) and the Emissions standards.

You can get around that by having the car custom modified and throwing generous amounts of money at lawyers to shepherd the paperwork around for all the right signatures, but you are also going to spend triple what the car cost to get it done.

You might spend that kind of money to bring in a high end Rolls or Lamborghini or Porsche maybe, not for a Holden.

Or you can try to find a cheat around the laws - perhaps import it into Canada and get it registered there, then try quietly driving it across... But when they catch you you'd better have the dough on hand to get it exported again, or the car goes straight to the nearest crusher.
