You've probably seen this but maybe not in large format, unless you watched it on Telly of course.

He was the first of the classic Doctors I saw. Good to see him again. I'm still holding out for Paul McGann, though.

I thought he was wasted with bad scripts. He could have been the best Doctor of all if he'd been given something to work with.

Nah, poor bastard came right after Tom Baker. It wasn't until the next guy that people thought that maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
I just kept thinking of All Creatures Great and Small.

I've got to agree with you there. Tom Baker was a tough act to follow but if they had not kept him so pinned down I think he could have done a far better job. At the end of his run, when he was given some freedom to act as he felt the Doctor should act, did the character really come to life. Good to see him again if only briefly.

We kept bumping into Peter Davidson all the time at Dragon*Con 2004.

We couldn't figure out if his group was following us, and he couldn't figure out if we were following him. Everywhere our group went, restaurants, quiet areas in the hotel lobby, etc, his group was either already there, or arrived shortly afterwards.

I would have liked to seen this last a lot longer. It was good and the interaction held true to both Doctors but I just longed for more. Then again, seeing how little I've been able to see of the Doctor lately, I long for more period.

Of the various Masters there have been Ainley is my favorite. There was just something about how he played it that I felt was right. A mutual respect, fighting among equals, a kind of Holmes/Moriarty relationship. Of course the fact that I could very easily double for him in our Dr. Who fan club back in the 80-90s didn't hurt either. At more then one PBS fund drive a friend and I would face off as The Master and The Doctor(Tom Baker) helping to put our group in the top 10 for funds raised. Great fun back then. Seeing that clip inspired me to make a few Dr. Who icons for LJ so expect to see them now and then.
