He was the first of the classic Doctors I saw. Good to see him again. I'm still holding out for Paul McGann, though.

Nah, poor bastard came right after Tom Baker. It wasn't until the next guy that people thought that maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
I just kept thinking of All Creatures Great and Small.

I've got to agree with you there. Tom Baker was a tough act to follow but if they had not kept him so pinned down I think he could have done a far better job. At the end of his run, when he was given some freedom to act as he felt the Doctor should act, did the character really come to life. Good to see him again if only briefly.
