Happy Birthday USA. If you Yanks hadn't told Nigel Hawthorne King George part the 3rd to bugger off, the Admiralty wouldn't have needed somewhere to send the convicts. They chose Australia, and because of this Australia is entirely peopled criminals. If they hadn't come here Terror Australis would be a very different country.

As an aside, while working as a Wizard on TimeScape MUCK, somebody from your neck of the woods admitted to being part of the Furry Bondage crowd.

I was, informally but most firmly, thereafter forbidden to EVER sing "Tie Me Kangaroo Down" *again*.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with July 4th, but maybe it'll start some fireworks. ;)

My great great great grandfather was sent here because he poached game from the Manor near Bristol. After he served his 7 years he moved "out west" to a place just a few miles east of where I am. He set up a hotel and illegal whiskey still to supply the miners with sly-grog, and his daughters ran a "Bath House."

Transportation really showed HIM crime didn't pay.
