Dad hit a kangaroo on the way home. The roo was a big male, about 7 feet tall. Mum and Dad are lucky the animal bounced right over the top and didn't come through the windscreen.

They're okay, but the ute and the kangaroo are totalled.

Well, bugger. But the company needed a new truck anyway. Now the accountant will let us buy it.

here is a move to have bull bars banned from city vehicles. Can't think why.

From what I've heard about the upcoming European "pedestrian friendly" vehicle requirments, autos (don't know about trucks) for the 2007 model year will have to have special, specific "pedestrian friendly" front-end structures to minimize injuries to wayward walkers when they get mowed down by vehicles. This will completely eliminate some sports cars, and cause radical redesigns on many others.

Whacking some j-walking bozo with a big "bull bar-sporting" truck would, no doubt, spoil said bozo's day--- *evil grin*

BTW, I *like* the bars that ARB sells! Those are the "real deal", unlike some of the "for looks only" rigs many trucks and SUVs -- usually the ones that never leave the pavement -- sport over here.

Like wyrd says, if it doesn't bolt to the chassis it isn't a proper bullbar.
