The noisy miner I thought was a noisy miner isn't a noisy miner. He is, in fact, a white plumed honey eater.

They're different species, but they're both honey-eaters and olive grey in colour. White plumed honey eater endangerment listing is "LC" or Least Concern. There's millions of the buggers.

It looks a lot like a Wattle Bird, possibly a little wattle bird (http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/finder/display.cfm?id=9)
