I've just picked up a baby bearded dragon. He's a cute little thing just 6" long, 3" of that is his tail. When he gets grumpy he flares out his tiny little beard and entirely fails to look scary.

A cat bit him. THere is a nasty cut on his belly. Tomorrow I'll take him to the zoovets.

If he survives the night, that is.

I was talking about my friend's pets, not bearded dragons in general. Which are still really nice lizards, of course. Somehow there's something awfully cute about a critter the size of your hand displaying "Look at me, I'm big and dangerous" for all it's worth. :-> (And then there was the kingsnake I once found all coiled up in a little-frequented public restroom, frantically trying to convince me it was a rattlesnake.)

The ones in captivity also change color from dark to light. They also seem quite interested in everything.
