Firefox displays my Bugs index page like this:

Which is how I want it to look. So after much hacking and getting it to look how I want, I decide to check it out in IE, and was rather annoyed to see

I'm pretty sure I've messed up a tag somewhere, or screwed the css thingies.. If not, then IE doesn't like that design for some reason. Any gurus out there who can tell me how to make the IE view look the same as the Firefox view? Please don't say "frames"

Investigating.

Barely related note: Got Firefox 0.9.3?

No, still on 0.8. I'll have to leach off the Uni's broadband line to pick it up. I'm still on dial-up.

I spent 70 mins doing a CVS checkout of the last week's worth of changes to the Mozilla source. 28.8k is bad enough - I've been told you've got it worse though, so I won't be complaining.

My modem says it's connected at 40Kbps, but the transfer rates are around the 2Kbps if I'm lucky. Living in the bush sucks sometimes.

Use a width of "auto" instead of "100%" on your table.

Brilliant! I owe you a beverage.

Heh, tis nothing. If I got the code validating, well, that might be worthy of one ;-)

I initially went and looked at your stylesheet first though, which was the exact wrong place to look. I should've picked up on it more quickly than that, particularly with DOM Inspector at hand.

I've had all sorts of headaches trying to get my own site (http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/) working with IE, so I know the feeling when something like this crops up. Ping me if you have any more problems like this.

Oh, and that sounds fairly comparable to what I get. Aside from the fact I have to actually throttle my modem to 28.8k if I want any reliability. Hopefully when (if?) Telstra do the ADSL-enabling of Bringelly exchange, we'll work out what the line problem is.

It's enabled at the Dubbo exchance, but there isn't enough copper in the ground up this end of town. It is not possible to get ADSL and I'm only 4km from the exchange.

I've been waiting 2 years to be enabled. ADSL coverage literally ends at our back fence.

Side note: I see Telstra is now offering dual channel ISDN for a flat rate of $90/month on a 12 month contract (http://www.bigpond.com/internet-plans/isdn/Unlimited/12/) with no charges for data calls to their dialin number. Still too pricey compared to ADSL though.
