This is my Sigma 600mm mirror lens. The two internal mirrors (one parabolic, one flat) make it operate like a newtonian telescope, but with the light exiting the rear instead of the side. I bought it years ago for my AE1, but Canon decided to change the mounts for the new EOS series so the lens wouldn't fit my new camera. I was a bit sad about that. I now have a little adapter that will let me fix the FD lens into the EOS mount. All I need now is to remember who I loaned my tripod to...

A Schmidt-Cassegrain! Way cool. I've been thinking of buying one for my Nikons. Just remember: they tend to form "donuts" when shooting point sources of light.

I know about the donuts: you can see them in blurred backgrounds.
