" There are about 65 Northern Hairy-nosed Wombats left alive. This animal is Australia's most critically endangered mammal. Once found over a broad area, the Hairy-nosed Wombat is now found in only one place - 300ha of Epping Forest National Park in central Queensland. There has been no appreciable increase in the population size since 1985. "

Did you know there are 4 times as many pandas as their are hairy-nosed wombats? Everyone cares about the Panda.
