I didn't get the job at the Abattoir. I rang to see about the delay and discovered they'd employed someone who had all the qualifications they wanted. They didn't call for interviews.

I'm a bit upset about that.

So now I will get drunk, and fall over.

... the person who came up with the idea of "Employees are our most valuable resource" should be shot. Repeatedly. Painfully. Until he's dead, and then some more for good measure.

How comforting to know that I am considered more valuable than a clipboard or a box of paper clips! And how comforting to know that when I have outlived my usefulness to the company (or been deemed non-useful), that I will be treated like a pen that's run out of ink!

Fuck it all. Batty, I'm sorry that you had to deal with this, too.
