Date: 17 May 2002 10:40 (UTC)It's perfectly possible for mature adults to share a circle of friends who don't get along (witness the Jax Furs fiasco in my own journal). I'm still friends with the two I thought I would lose and I've managed to repair two more friendships. I've made two new friends out of it and the rest --- deadwood.
I hope your friend understands the concept; no one should have to "choose" one or the other.
I'm crap at emotional things over distance but I'm really sorry your feelings got tromped on.
