denLittle forest bat is gone after 2 days R&R & biting me.
I have just opened the door to the large aviary to let the magpies out. The four of them as sitting on the floor and looking through the gap where the door used to be. I've been throwing meal worms onto the wood-shavings floor to train the birds how to forage. Once they leave the cage they will have a garden to explore. I'll keep up the supplementary feeding until they have decided to go. If they sleep in the aviary I'll look the door at night for safety.
2 peewees are doing well in the large carry cage. When the Magpies are sleeping in trees I'll transfer the peewees into the aiviary. One of them escaped yesterday and flew around the garage, so they are ready for Big School.
