His new book Stupid White Men (and other sorry excuses for the state of the nation) has hit number 1 on the Amazon best seller list.

What I find amusing are the book reviews on Amazon. It looks like the right-wingers have spammed the review list to bring the ratings down. All the poor reviews say Mike is Unpatriotic, A Communist, anti-American, Bitter, and Fat.

I love this bloke. I wish he'd come to Aus and get stuck into the corporate arseholes we have here.

He was on Fox News Channel here Wednesday night, close to midnight PST and Robin and I watched him. FNC had to be about the least supportive place he could be -- it's the most-hyped pro-Conservative 24 hours news channel we have here. Anyway, every single thing he said, the three of us were here nodding in agreement while the conservative newscasters kept telling him things like, "If you don't like this country, leave," or "That's Un-American" or something else equally trite and disdainful. When what they really should have done was listen to everything he said about Guatemala and other countries and investigated it and found evidence supporting or dismantling his claims. Some approach to "news" there. Yep..."news" apparently = opinion and the investigative part totally got passed by. Bugger all.
