When this waste of space dies, I'm sure God will start to talk to him about what he did wrong, only to get a middle finger waggled in his face and an "I'm not allowed to be wrong because I'm better than you, if you know what's good for you."
The 9th level of hell is going to have a new resident. Heh.
I'm not baptized, so I'm going to be stuck in limbo. At least as far as Catholicism goes. ;) Otherwise I'll just stick with (bad) Metallica- "carved upon my stone- my body lies but still I roam! Yeah!" What a concept. :D
Actually, he did, at least according to biblical sources.
Luke 14:26: If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
The thing is that some passages in the Bible are easy to take out of context, this one included.
Fred Phelps and others like him follow their own interpretation of the scripture. But if you look at Jesus' teachings on the whole, I think you will find that he preached more tolerance than other religions of the day, which is part of the reason why he raised such a stink when he started preaching.
I think the Church of Fred has pretty much devolved into a "Fred God hates Everything and Everyone" theology...where the only people 'saved' are Fred and immediate family.
Which when you think about it, is a terrifyingly claustrophobic tiny hate filled world to live in.

While not intending to imply any support for the Westboro fuckwits...
