That's a bizarrely circuitous route. Was Google trying to avoid heavy traffic in the South Pacific?

Why not kayak to Papua instead of Japan? It's about the same distance and would cut a big chunk off the route.

And when you go through Spokane on I-90, stop by my place and pick me up. We can take turns paddling the Kayak.
