Saw that one coming in the night sky about a week ago, and checked SkyGlobe to make sure it was on its way and not a past event. Was hoping to see it last night but it was totally socked in...

Weather calls for clear skies tonight... keeping my fingers crossed. Jupiter and Venus will be at true conjunction, but the moon will be above them.

Oh, it was Jupiter! I spent a very long drive back home from Thanksgiving watching that and trying to figure out what the smaller one was. For some reason, it really confuses me that you can see that too. Still, the planets look at different angles from how I saw them the other day, so maybe that's right? I don't know; for someone who works for astronomers I'm terribly confused about this sort of thing.
