The Russians always seem to have excellent timing. In the timeline of the RPG Twilight 2000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight_2000), the USSR launches a first-strike nuclear attack against the US on Thanksgiving (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_%28United_States%29).

So it does seem. They're Russians; they're funny like that, with their sneaky sneaky organization and comprehension of manipulating what people see and think. Perosnally, I suspect it of being a genetic thing, compulsively plotting things and inventing excellent timing to execute said devious plans.

Incidentally, I heard about this before I even realized that it was August and that the Opening Ceremonies last night were supposed to be taking up my attention. I had to be reminded by my mother, whereas this was on my local podunk radio station like...four times in two hours.
