QI, hosted by Stephan Fry, with Alan Davis and various other guests. (YouTube, each episode broken into 3 parts.) A panel quiz show where the most interesting answer gets as many points as the correct answer. (Not for the easily offended.)

I like it. It's my early evening watching when nothing is on the telly. I got through series A in a week.

Stephen Fry: Chocolate is quite toxic. For us the lethal dose is about 27 pounds.
Jo Brand: 27 pounds? That's nothing!

...

Rich Little: What's the national bird of England?
SF: I- I don't know!
Jo Brand: The national bird for women is the thrush.
Alan Davis: And for men it's the cock.
Phil Kay: Cock and thrush? That sounds like the name of a pub.

I just bought the first two seasons on DVD. Region 2, but that's what the desktop is for :).

I've just died from laughing on ep B3 when they were discussing Japanese problems with English, and Stephen mentioned getting one to say "orange tipped flotillery."

Wait till you hit the "E" series with the "Elephant in the room Bonus" where one question in each show has a link to an elephant, somehow, somewhere. I defy anyone to find the elephant in most of them, I only found two, and one of those was a guess.

I am a serious fan of the show and one thing I really enjoy about it is how they always manage to come up with something seriously "out of the box" (And often embarrassing) for Alan Davies' buzzer. In one show they had Dudley Moor's "Ending" piano piece, you know, the one where he goes through just about every possible variation of the endings of classical music, and on, and on, and on... and they had used the entire thing so when he pressed his button for the first time the show ground to a halt for a couple of minutes.
