I didn't expect my leaving of Elfwood would be so acrimonious. People I thought were friends, aren't any more.

I deleted my Zone47 and Wyverns Library galleries and told #lothlorien. And before I could say why, I was told I was ungrateful, that I used, abused and dropped Elfwood, and that I had said terrible things about Elfwood in a (now deleted) post that said I was moving to Epilogue. A ~friend~ thanked me for leaving.

I was /msg'd by Eliza, aka halwyn who said my constant whining and bitching* made me look very bad. It was she who invited me to leave the Elfwood LJ community, by the way, and that it would be best for the Elfwood community if I left. She kept telling me to email the ERB, which I did. You know the result of that.

And that's the facts, jack.

and now opinion.

I am really sad that events made me feel like my stories and pictures were not suited to that site. I read the rules, looked at my pictures, and decided that most of them were unacceptable. Elfwood might as well have the disk space back. I think Thomas is doing an amazing job providing a free service to aspiring artists and writers. I understand The ERB is trying its hardest to remove unsuitable material, and that there are no exceptions or special favours. But the changes they suggest I make to my stories to make them acceptable, I feel are unacceptable.

... I'm sorry, Batty. It seems that you've been hurt by this, and it came at a really crappy time. I support you, and I love your stories. Your writing is so vastly better than most anything else on Elfwood.

Having said that, I'll now stop; I have this... thing about seeing friends of mine that I care about being... "used and abused." You seem to be doing a good job of hatchet-burying and taking the high moral ground, for which I applaud you. I'm personally more prone to rant, froth, and generally be a bitch, so I'll go take my oncoming bitch-fit elsewhere. Take care, okay?

You're better off without them. Anyone who would stab someone in the back to further themselves by impressing some muckity muck on a website is pretty lame, IMO. These are the sort of people who wouldn't know a Star Belly Sneech if it bit them on the ass ;:D!

Ignore their arrogant bullcrap. If they want a site full of the fucking Bobbsey Twins , fine. Leaves the rest of the world for the rest of us:).

Hehehehehhe... Bah, don't worry guy :) That's a bit sad for sure but as you say they're just doing their job :) Some get cranky about all this, I'm happy to see you know better. ElfWood was a nice place, maybe it's now too big to be manageable without turning into something highly and sometimes rudely controlled... *shrugs* Bats know better :p
I don't know what's happening on my gallery either, I know they deleted some stuff.. I would have liked them to ask me to redo them btw LOL

Wow Beasty! How would it be possible your art could be removed from Elfwood? The fantasy paintings and carvings are amazing, and the Sf art is brilliant!

I'll have to check with Quarrentine about the butter. If it has dairy products in it, it might not be permitted in. 8(

Naaaa, pure condensed Maple syrup.. you won't get on your feet again after that....

As for Elfwood, yeah they did take down the dinosaur (no pets you know, muahahahaa) and something else I don't remember. That will teach me not to bring my site back online... Finishing it is one of my resolutions for the year, this and saving the universe that is. Bah, they can take everything down if they want, it's Thom's place :)

The fact is, I have a livejournal, user : somk but I never wrote something.. it's still active though...
