The only problem I see with this is con artists have been swindling people with snake oil machines to make crude oil from trash ever since the 1970s, if not earlier. That means this new process is going to face a lot of skepticism, whether it deserves it or not. And it may deserve it. I shall Await Developments. :)

The boffins at CSIRO do serious investigations before they announce things. This is still in the early stages; it could be 5 years before they develop something commercially viable.

Oh. Boffins. They're BOFFINS. I thought they were just These Guys, but it turns out they're BOFFINS. That's different.

After all, who wouldn't trust colorful-beaked, cliff-nesting sea birds equipped with lab coats and clipboards? :D
