denLucky bat is hanging on. He seems to have improved and is active and squeaking again. I hope he'll survive, but I know in my heart that he probably won't last the night.
In the meantime, have some photos of a grumpy sacred kingfisher.
Kingfisher says "BUGGER OFF!"
The brown fringes on his wing feathers show he is a sub-adult juvenile. Mature adults are a solid iridescent green.
Biting the finger that feeds him.
This afternoon I let him have a fly in the house, and he flew up and landed higher than his release height. If it's not raining tomorrow (and I can't remember when I last said those words) I'll let him go.
