Yesterday was bad. I spent all day snoozing on the lounge instead of going to work. I had to sit to piss because the instant I relaxed everything dropped out. At one point Sky was showing the CBS broadcast of the Iowa presidential... thingy... and I couldn't be bothered changing the channel. I can't work out which of those two items was worse. I survived on water, asprin and weak tea. Dinner last night was two Weetbix.
I must be getting better; this morning I had vegemite on toast and I can stay awake.
For some reason my scales say I am 2kg lighter. That must be wrong.

Called "The Roundagon" and "The Doughnut," the building not only becomes home to Headquarters 12th Air Force, but attracts colonies of Mexican Freetail bats which frustrate all efforts by base engineers to discourage them by plugging every hole and crevice.

But I appreciate the Herriot reference. Clearly, massive amounts of healthy exercise are just what you need!

Date: 5 Jan 2008 06:24 (UTC)Wondering, though, why Sky would be showing CBS coverage of Iowa. A) Why American politics? Especially since Iowa's actual relevancy to the overall process is debatable. B) Why CBS? One would think it would be Fox coverage. Murdoch does own Sky, yes...?

Fortunately it's not lethal unless you suffer from some other complaint which this one exacerbates but it's so aggressive that the government has issued statements. Sufferers are not to go to their doctor but to stay at home, phoning the NHS Direct system if the symptoms persist for more than a couple of days.
A 2Kg loss isn't that unlikely, remember that you've lost a LOT of fluid via one route or another, including sweating. So drink, and don't forget that you've also lost a lot of salts and minerals which you will have to replace.
