Tiger likes lightning.

Tiger misses lightning... there's usually one good electrical storm a year in Spokane, and it's on a night when he's stuck in a building where he can't enjoy it.

Have the best thunder ever!

Just lately we're getting a thunderstorm every afternoon. Poor Polly hates them.

Does she try to crawl under the sofa? Delphi did, and there must have been maybe 6 inches to squeeze under. She made herself very flat.

Late at night, 10 seconds after the thunder hits, the door to my bedroom bursts open and I have a shivery cattle dog trying to get under the blankets.

My dog liked to hide in the main bathroom behind the toilet. This was the only room in the house without an exterior window, and she was afraid also of the lighting. Sad for her, the bathroom also had a fan and echoed a little, so she heard the thunder better in there.

Have the best

Yep. The higher sonic frequencies of thunder are within canine hearing range, and they hurt the dogs' ears. I've yet to meet a dog that isn't disturbed by them.

Have the best

That's what I love about the digital camera. I stood there for 5 minutes, taking a photo every second of the cloud producing lightning. On the last photo the viewfinder went black and my peripheral vision lit up.

1 photo out of 300. I love it.

How awesome. Milllions of volts!

We don't get a lot of fork lightning in New Zealand.

We don't get much rain here but when the afternoon thunderstorms roll in, it's fun.

Do you have any shots that are desktop-background quality?
(or that could be made desktop-background quality?)

Otherwise, really cool!
