Those are some wonderful still-lifes. I think I like the first one the most. You nicely emphasized the subject by keeping the background in the shadows and out of focus. Try going even closer (if you can) on the sweet allysum. Like just one ball of flowers. You caputured fantastic texture on the iris flower! I can just feel the fuzzyness, heehee.

The peonies are nice, but could be improved by somehow moving that lower flower out of the frame. It tends to drag the eye away from the main (upper) flower and down out of the frame.

I'd like to see a whole lot more of your photography! BTW, what lens(es) did you shoot with?

I use a Canon EOS 50D with Canon 35-90mm lens. Photos taken on Fuji 400ASA film at 90mm. I should have cropped the daffodil and pansie photos to centre them better.

I have to get a digital camera one day, the negative to CD transfer isn't very good. Canon have a 2 lens deal on at the moment: EOS400D with a 35-70mm and 90-300mm for $1300. I might look into it soon.
