Date: 21 May 2007 06:46 (UTC)Damage is extensive, but a lot of the fire was the structure around the Cutty Sark. Unknown at this time how much of the ship has been destroyed, but it's less than total destruction at least. Apart from anything else, quite a bit of it's internal fittings were off-site for conservation.
No comment on the cause of it, the 'suspicious' part was just a rumor...
although it was well established throughout the ship by the time the firebrigade got there, so that's a bit iffy. But again, depends on how much of the ship was opened out by removing it's internal structure.
