From now on this will be the icon I use when I post my stories to the internet.

I send my manuscript to one publisher, who keeps it six months, loses it, gets another, sits on it for two years before rejecting it, and publicly mocks me besides. I send it to another and it's out of my home mailbox on Monday, back on Friday with a bad photocopy of a bad photocopy of a bad photocopy of a rejection note, stating that "after a thorough review" they have determined my work is "not commercially viable." They must be fast readers, since that thorough review must have occurred between 10:12 and 10:14 on Wednesday morning.

So if I do an end-around and avoid the whole dying, cronyist, incestuous conventional SF publishing world, they're going to pout and call me bad names. You know what? I can live with that. The opinions of assholes don't concern me too much.
