What happens when you give a rendernerd too much time and $12,000 of CAD software. It still needs pipes, tanks, pump houses, grates etc.

(Requires IE5.5 or better, or Firefox with ActiveX. Sorry.)

edit: Will attempt to install eDrawings 2007, which is a free graphics viewer somewhat like Adobe Reader.

ah. That's an Adobe Reader-like free viewer for Solidworks graphics files.

Since my notebook isn't "mission critical", I went ahead and let "edrawings" install the needed software.

WOW!!!

Neat presentation (when run on "play") and quite an interesting piece of equipment. Please update us when the "nerd" gets the rest of the equipment designed and included in the presentation (if you can). };-)

It *did* require IE, though. My Firefox has all the updates, but it still refused to display/play/do anything with the link. Phhhtttt...

Solidworks have asked for user feedback. Mine will be "Make it Firefox Compatible" until they do.

It's not just a picture; you can zoom and rotate the image in real-time 3d. Biggest problem: it uses ActiveX. That would be the register changes it wanted.

And this would be that truck wash thing you were talking about earlier?

You know, maybe it's the mad scientist in me, but somehow I expected something wayyyy more complicated.
Still, simple is good. Simple means less things for people to cock up!

Very simple, but pumps 2500 litres/minute. We had to make them simple for users who have trouble understanding "Twist button to release emergency stop."
