SHORT-BEAKED ECHIDNA MIX

High Fat Diet - July to November

Hot Water 500ml
Eggs 2
Farex (Infant cereal) 150g (1box)
Mince Meat 2 kg
Evaporated Milk 375ml (1 can)
Avi Drops (Bird vits) 1ml
DCP 1 tsp
Vitamin E Powder 1 tsp

Makes 10 days worth for one animal.
(Divide quantities to make smaller amounts)

METHOD
1. Break eggs into bucket and stir in all ingredients 2. Add mince and mix well.
3. Weigh 60g mix per animal per plastic bag and freeze.
4. Thaw when needed and blend with 55ml water per animal.

Low Fat Diet - December to June

Mincemeat (Beef) 4 kg
Wheatbran 500g
Eggs 19
Glucodin 1716g
Olive Oil 336ml
Vitamin E Powder 47g
Avi Drops (Bird vits) 13ml
Calcium Carbonate 47g

METHOD
1. Break eggs into bucket and stir in all ingredients 2. Add mince and mix well.
3. Weigh 60g mix per animal (see chart below)per plastic bag and freeze.
4. Thaw when needed and blend with 55ml water per animal.



This came from Taronga Zoo and will feed up to 13 echidnas. Fips is a little guts but I don't think he can eat this much. I'll have to break the quantities down a little.
