~Come to Australia, you might accidentally get killed!~:D

You don't need to use the wildlife, the airfare prices are murder!

Actually the US-Australia round trip has dropped significantly in the last decade.... it used to be closer to US$1800 for the round trip, now its US$1100 or so

This is Chicago to Melbourne, and it was on Qantas.

$1100 is a semi-regular special though

Qantas had a special running in Canada throughout the fall, may even still be on, $1399 for flight from Vancouver to Sydney direct, and 2 domestic Australian flight tickets of your choice. Still close to $2000 with the extra airport fees and taxes and the like, but still a damned fine deal considering YVR-SYD alone usually runs about $2000.

Hopefully they'll have similar deals same time next year.

That was priceless... I'm glad you pointed it out, since I swore off making fun of how freaking deadly your continent is. :)

It's okay to make fun of the place. However, the animals do kill people, as you've seen. More people die in car accidents though.

Are cute little pointy things like Fips deadly? Or just extremely uncomfortable? :)

Yes, but fortunately, frequent contact means higher tolerance.

I take it you know the secret of spreading Vegemite: 1g of vegemite to several billion grams of toast?

Any less toast and my hair leaps straight out of their follicles.

Why on earth would you keep vegemite in the fridge? You do know it can survive a nuclear war, right?

I found Marmite in the Irish shop today. They can get vegemite too.:D

Marmite you can keep spreading in thicker layers and it gets better. Vegemite doesn't; you have to be able to see the toast through the spread or you have it on too thick.

Canis was showing this to me. I was all eager to come see Australia-- until they showed the jar of Vegemite!

Have the best
