Date: 22 Nov 2006 09:18 (UTC)Saw the B-52, eh? Ever seen a B1? The US used B1-Bs in Iraq in the late 90's. I've had the supreme privilege of going inside one of the four B1-A prototypes ever made, while it was being refurbished for permantent display at Lowry AFB in Denver, CO. It was parked half-in and half-out of the largest hangar on the base, and with the wings in collapsed mode it nearly touched the sides. All the fighters were sitting under its wings. (Got to sit in a couple of those, too... way cool!)
