Yes. Well. That makes deciding easier.

I don't think I could live in NY city. Any city with the entire population of Australia in it is too big for me. NY State would be cool.

Atlanta's weather is such that Brisbane seems mild in summer.

I've heard that before. Too much heat knocks me around badly, so Atlanta is on my Not list.

I've been to Atlanta in the summer... too bloody hot, and I needed gills to breathe.

Aw, jeez, thank you! (Not my birthday here for another few hours yet, but I appreciate the jump start! *grin*)

It's not hot and muggy, but it is rather wet. And you'll be isolated from every other major city in the US, because they all think of us Northwesterners as a backwater hinterland.

But I still guarantee, Batty, that you'll love Seattle. :)

Unless you are a glutton for punishment, you dont want to live downtown. I lived downtown for about 10 years. I lived about where the second floor of Gameworks is now, across the street from what was then a gay bar. I do have to say that at the time, the rent was cheap. 200.00 a month for a studio... But calling the cops almost every night got a bit old. The funny thing was, I rarely called because of stoopid people at the bar. They were just entertaining...

Hmmm.. Sounds like I might like the place

If it's rather wet then it'll be just like jolly old England, and southerners think we're still in the dark ages up here :P

England's got nothing on Seattle for rainfall

Seattle is at the very edge of the rainforest-- one of only two temperate jungles in the world (the other being directly across the pacific in China). Essentially, if there is ever a single day where it does not rain on the Olympics, it's considered a drought.

Denver for me...
About your choice, the idea alone of comparing Atlanta to Frisco and Seattle is just mind boggling ! You have the choice between a mosquitoe infested swamp, a mostly cloudy peninsula and a forever rainy depressive place.. way to go, mate ! :D

I like rain! We are into our 5th month without seeing any rain at all. I find sunny, cloudless skies more depressing than grey skies.

I think there's something wrong with me.

It all depends on where you grew up. I hate summers in Spokane because we don't see any of the clouds that the west side of the state gets from June until September.

I miss the luscious afternoon thunderstorms every day in the late summer of my home, sweet home.

*Sighs*

"Freedom 55" is an over-used tag line for some life insurance policy. It is only 55% on topic.
