Land Ho
Supertramp.

Dream of nothing to do
Dream of nothing to say
Guess I need something to dream about
But "something" keeps on moving away.

I said, Land Ho, will I be sailing forever?
Oh-oh, I need some wind to take me to my goal.
Land Ho, will I be dreaming forever
Oh-oh, I gotta find an anchor for my soul

Once I thought I could see
But now I think I'm just blind
But there's this Something that's calling me
Something that is so hard to find.

I said, Land Ho, will I be sailing forever?
Oh-oh, I guess I feel my ship is getting old.
Land Ho, will I be dreaming forever?
Oh-oh, I gotta find an anchor for my soul

When you're alone, there's not a sail in sight
There's a grey-lit sky and it may just try to take your life.
There once was a lady made me feel alright
But she couldn't stay
so she just sailed away
Now there's only wait
to see me through the night

Maybe I'll always be sad
Maybe there'll always be strife
Drifting alone with a saddened tone
Afloat on the ocean of life

I said, Land Ho, A sailing ship gone forever
Oh-oh, I need some wind to take me to my goal.
Land Ho, will I be searching forever
Oh-oh I gotta find an anchor for my soul

Will I be sailing forever...

This song doesn't ring a bell. It's not on my Even in the Quietest Moments album or Crime of the Century. Maybe Breakfast in America?

It was an odd single that came out just before Crime Of The Century, but didn't make it to the album.

It's on Retrospectacle.

If I had a spare $78mil, I'd buy a Pheonix 1000 (http://www.ussubs.com/submarines/phoenix_1000.php3) and sign you two on as crew, and we'd go cruising.

Yeah, but if you think Australia is full of miles of bloody nothing, that's nothing compared to space. I mean, you may think it's a long way to the corner store, but that's nothing compared to the vast emptiness of space...

Oh, we're out here. We just don't say anything because we know better. Until now.
