Date: 12 May 2006 10:36 (UTC)As to pseudoephedrine and sudafed and like products, they are catering to the methedrine cooks overseas. The ones here can't get a steady supply now that the US has restrictions.
Oh, was that my out loud voice:D?

Date: 14 May 2006 05:54 (UTC)/me brought a good supply of my prescription drugs, and some painkillers with me when I left home. I had a large ziplock bag full of medicines.
9 odd weeks later, and i still have enough of the anti-psychotics/ anti-depressants, but the tablets I take for the side-effects are running low. I buy these over-the-counter at home for considerably less than the cost of a prescription.
In the US, however, I could buy only the one I take for acid reflux (which is worsened on the anti-depressants), and was told I needed a prescription for the anti-spasmodics that I take for IBS (usually only a major problem if I eat something with soy in it). So I figured I'd wait till I hit Canada, and if worst came to worst, I'd have to either live without it or get mum to send me some to tide me over.
In Canada, I could buy a similar product over the counter, but only in a bottle of 100 tablets. which cost me roughly $46 CAD. the ones that work best for me cost me approximately $10 AUD for 50. Slight difference in price, but since I'd stupidly eaten something with soy yesterday, I *had* to have the antispasmodic. And just for the record, no, it doesn't work as well. grrr.
