You know, you could make a living being a professional photographer, (or are you one already?)

I'm not a professional, but I've had a camera ever since Kodak Instamatics came out. I have a Canon EOS50E now. I'd like a good digital but they're beyond my price range.

Ixora, hibiscus, and phlox. :) and I ought to know the second, but it escapes me at the moment. I'm homesick now. :)

I didn't know what any of them were, apart from Phlox. Mum planted that one.

We used to suck the nectar from hibiscus and ixora flowers when I was a child. But phlox was an annoyance because the flowers make your fingers sticky. So they were easy to remember. :) My absolute favourite tropical flower, though, is one you didn't see, or I think you'd have photographed it, and that's a poinciana tree. :)

All right- with flowers like those, why aren't there any hummingbirds swarming around?!

I saw a couple in Florida zooming around the ornamental trees at The Surf Club very very early in the morning. I would think the hibiscus would be a hummingbird *magnet*.
