I have just finished watching The Mysterious Geographic Explorations Of Jasper Morello, one of the animated shorts nominated for an Acadamy Award. It's great! It's the sort of thing you'd get if you let ursulav mix Gearworld, gothic steampunk and CGI Animation.

It's just finished up here. I've got to get a copy of that on DVD. Supposedly, it's Episode 1 in a planned series.

I suspect that Anthony Lucas spent some time playing the Myst series of games. The falling body sequences were very like the opening scene in the original Myst, and some of the sound effects sounded like they'd been lifted from the games.
