Today Steve took us to Duxford Air Museum, part of the Imperial War Museum.

There's not much more to say, except that we walked through Concorde 002, and saw a Comet 4, Catelina Flyingboats, English Electric Lightning, a Sabre, BAR TSR-2 bomber, a Trident 2, a Vulcan bomber, a Shackelton, Spitfires, Mustangs, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Vampires, a Victor, Gloucestor Meteors, ME109, V1, Harrier, Tiger Moths, Bristol Bombers, an Argentine Pucara captured in the Faulklands, flying fortresses, Fairy Swordfish, U2, A4, Phantoms, F111, and one of the two B52s on display outside the US. The other is in Darwin, and I've seen that too. There were a LOT of other planes whose names escape me at the moment. We also wandered through the exhibit of WW1 and WW2 army equipment. Aaron was disappointed when I told him Customs in Sydney would confiscate the 105mm Howitzer.

I'm a bit tired.

I didn't even realise they had a Blackbird on show there now - been a while since I've been there.

I just downloaded an MS Flight Sim add on for the BAC TSR.2; it's still just about my all-time favourite aircraft. I don't even own FS200x... (I do want this (http://www.flightcraft-simulations.co.uk/tsr2.html), though).

I have an almost identical photo to that one. Same pose, except shorter and chubbier. :)

Duxford is a fun place.

First of the "stealthy" aircraft, I'm told. Not really invisible to radar, but damned hard to pinpoint---(and fast, too!) *grin!*

Fill it with fuel on the ground, and it would leak like a sieve until it got hot enough from speedy air friction to expand and seal the seams...

Too bad they dont let you sit in them. The Museum of Flight here used to let you sit in theirs. I dont know if they still do that or not tho. (Why yes, you do need to come to Seattle some day...)

I am tempted to make some minor adjustments to Dave's face (you sneaky "always hard to recognise in your pictures guy"). I can be Jackie and in memory of someone, Kendra can model for Angela. I am not that good at characatures but getting better for trying.
