Stories like this bring a grin to my inner geek. Now if they could just make it self-cleaning, and apply it to eyeglasses, the world would be a much better place.
That would also depend on its refractive index. If it's too far from normal glass then making the lenses might be impossible. Coatings could still work though.
I must admit the idea of glasses made entirely out of metals does attract me (Titanium frames and aluminium lenses) as they would be light and incredibly tough.
