Just got an email from GoDaddy.com to say "Congratulations! The following domain name(s) that you backordered was successfully captured:

BATTYDEN.NET"

I have my domain back! *happy dance* Now to get all the pointer thingies pointing at battyden.com so all my LJ images work again.

ooh. I own TWO domains!

I'll set up the name server zones for battyden.net

OK, it's all set up.

For the name server settings, use exactly the same DNS settings that you used for battyden.com.

I have created an Apache vhost file for each domain name, and the root of each domain name currently points to the same folder on my server. so that either domain name will take you to the same site. There are better ways to do this, but this way we have a little more flexibility. When you are ready to do some site rebuilding, we can talk about other options for using 2 domain names.

No, no. Look. This domain business -- it doesn't really matter. The domains aren't important. A few friends call me Two Domains and that's all there is to it. I wish you'd ask me about the bats. Everybody talks about the domains. They've got it out of proportion --

Yaay! I guess they decided they weren't getting enough hits to make advertising worthwhile, so let it lapse after the 15-or-so day grace period.

It's sheer GREED---GREED, I say!

Out there in Web-land there's some poor dweeb who really WANTS to have "battyden.net" for his bat bordello site, but NOOOOO--- YOU (greedy Aussie that you are) just had to have it ALL!!!

Now he's gonna have to settle for an obvious name like "batbordello.com" (or .net) to promote his flying rat bawdyhouse---

All because of YOU! For shame, for shame---

(hahahaha!!!!)

HA!

Will you be posting your symphony on both domains? *dodge*

Congrats on regaining! May those who took it to start with lose theirs.:D
