Bat Matters
22 December 2001 11:06Little Bek is now covered from head to bum in fine, brown fur not more than 1mm long. Her (yes, she is a she) wings, ears and feet are very dark brown, almost black, and her eyes are almost open. The little bat is quite vocal while I handle her. She makes a high-pitched growl, which becomes a high whistle when I put her near Ace. She also makes a Pee pee pee noise while Ace is away feeding.
Ace is doing as well as a mum can do while nursing a pup 1/3 her weight. She seems to be rather thin so I've been putting extra worms in the tent so she can feed as required.
So far all seems to be going well.

I suppose Ace can hear the pee pee pee a suitable distance away. Two months is a very quick amount of time to grow up in. Talk about being a teenager in two weeks time;).....
