Two eastern grey joeys.


In the wild they stay alone in the pouch, but in care they often feel stressed enough to climb into someone else's pouch for comfort. These two, and two others, are acting as older siblings to the one I rescued last week. Together the five of them will form their own mob and will all be released at the same time to preserve the mob-structure. But for now, cuteness.

Adorable, beautiful creatures. In the US, we don't often get to see them up close. My local zoo had some young ones, recently released, for a while but it was a travelling exhibit. Hard to believe at this age that they're potentially dangerous with those feet.
