Heh... I'm getting better, I know what an eskie and a dunnie (sp?) are now, I just don't tend to use em in everyday speech. Bugger has become a standard part of my repotroire though.

Maybe this time I won't have to ask the bloke at customs to repeat himself 3 times before I understand what he says.

I can't tell if you're serious, but if you are that would be Victorian-era slang. As in, I know what a dollymop is because I've read The Great Train Robbery.

Victorian Era I understand. I thought it was referring to a current group of people. Australian slang is rooted in the language of the people sent here during the early to mid 19th century, so it makes sense that I understood a lot of it.
