I have a Cunning Plan. Over the next few months I'll be sneaking it back little by little, and by mid December we'll have all our daylight back and they won't even notice! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Ah, but take all that darkness and add to it knee-deep (or deeper) snow and temperatures well below freezing. That's what I get to experience while you're basking in the height of summer.

Ever hear of hurricanes and typhoons?

We get the hurricanes, and California gets the Pacific variety (aka: typhoons).

We whine a LOT about the #@$%^!! things, since they tend to blow our houses down and hurt our tender bodies---a LOT!!!

The wind chill factor 700km south of the gold coast (sydney) is just fine thanks. It gets delivered express from Antactica - but we don't qualify for snow.

We have *summers* where that's the average daytime temperature.

Having said that, my weather station is telling me it's already 26 C outside and it's only 9am here.
