So some yanks want to amment the US constitution to allow nonUS-born citizens to run for President. How's this for a future ticket?

Date: 18 Nov 2004 04:20 (UTC)They changed the rules in the house/senate so that if you've ever been indited, you can't hold any leadership. They did this just to fuck over a democrat and force him out of the ways and means commission.
But now they want to put Tom Delay in that spot and guess what... he is about to be indited, only on a state level. So they changed the rules so that Delay can get into this position.
I wouldn't be suprised if they wanted to undo the 2 term presidency next.
As for Arnold, he's ever the tax and spend republican. He wants to put tracking devices on all cars in california and tax people by the mile driven in the state. Many have pointed out the privacy concerns not to mention that it would make more sense to tax cars by size or weight, to punish SUV's for being more damaging to the states roads as well as the air quality. But he's an idiot yes man for the republicans. Anyone who says things like "Don't be economic girly men" is a nut.

Date: 18 Nov 2004 10:00 (UTC)I have very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I don't particularly like Ahnuld; on the other, at least he wouldn't be for sale! He's managed to piss off most of the Republican hierarchy in CA because he has enough of his own money to tell them to kiss off when he wants to, and it would be interesting to see how that played out nationally.
:D!
