The Audioblogging Manifesto
"Thoreau may not have been a big fan of technology, but we can still read
him one and a half centuries later and be pulled in by his beautiful
prose style. Is your audio post going to stand the test of time?"

Yeah, pretty much on the audio blog. I've only done a couple, and kept the pre-planned and somewhat scripted for the obvious reasons covered in he article.

It is nice to hear the voice of a person who's words you've been reading for a looong time though. Makes the blogger a person instead of a bunch of glowing bits on a screen.

There is a place for the well constructed and executed audio blog. Think of it more in the tradition of Andy Rooney or Charles Kuralt (sp) or Allister Cook (his Letter From America series on the BBC is truly brilliant stuff (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/letter_from_america/3527265.stm)).
