Beer ads

Almost every part of the globe has funnier ads than the U.S. The only exception I've found is the La Blatt's beer ads, featuring the guy in the really hoaky bear fursuit. In one commercial, he's challenged for ID at the liquor store, and protests that he has no pockets in which to carry ID. The clerk quickly asks what year he was born, and when the bear answers, the clerk says "Ah-hah! You're only 8 years old! You're too young to buy beer." The bear protests, saying "Yeah, but that's 8 *bear* years. I'm like 32 in human years!"

In another episode, the bear is teaching English to Japanese businessmen in a sushi bar. He ends up singing very bad (is there any other kind?) karaoke with them on stage.

The last one I saw has the bear showing up at his girlfriend's house. She rags him for being gone for six months, and says "What? Have you been hibernating or something?" He replies, very matter-of-fact: "Yes, I have." and produces a six pack of beer. She invites him in...

Those are GOOD. Of course we have the Molson's ads in Canada... featuring the obnoxious murrican frat boys in the pub pickin on the Canuck.... "Oooooooo Canadian EH?? Where's your beaver??" To wit the canuck replies, "Right here." (points to the beaver sitting on the bar) "Sic em!!" and the beaver goes for obnoxious frat boy's throat.

This tres amusing.... especially if you're a canuck :)

i was looking for Kramer quotes and this just made me think of you yesterday. :)

Elaine: Jerry saw this guy crash into a car, and he followed him.

(Jerry looks at Kramer and raises both his arms smiling)
Kramer: Good for you! What kind of a sick lowlife would do a thing like
that? You know those people, you know they're mentally disturbed. (Pointing
a finger at Jerry)

Kramer: They should be sent to Australia.

HEH!

I love that bit in Princess Bride where Vissini faces the Dread Pirate Roberts. "Iocain comes from Australia, and as everybody knows Australia is entirely populated by criminals!"
