Systems Environment: failed. bugger

Java Programming Fundamentals: PASSED! WOO HOO!

Java was the biggie. I had to pass that or they would exclude me from the course. I PASSED! I can pick up Systems Environment next semester.

Two passes would have been better but I'm rather happy with that.

Yeah!

Yay! Congradulations!

I was pulling so hard for you I must not have been pulling hard enough (http://www.livejournal.com/users/sailorjim/63099.html) for [livejournal.com profile] sailorjim in his math class...

Yeah, it's a bugger he failed that. It sounds like he enjoyed algebra as much as I enjoy programming.

Thanks

I used to be on the DiscworldMUD too, as "Batty The White." Time constraints meant I couldn't continue and I logged off 2 years ago. 8(

Well, looks like your character is still there (http://discworld.imaginary.com:5678/finger.c?player=batty)! :^) Technically, I guess if you felt like it, you could log on and play as Batty. There have been a lot of changes to the MUD since then, so plenty to explore.

I've been paying DW MUD for a little over 3 years now, so there's the off-chance we may even have passed each other in Ankh-Morpork or some other place at one point or other. 'Tis a small world, and a small Disc. :^)

I got a little bit of fame as "the bloke who rescued bats" amongst the few wizards and witches I had regular contact with. I was a level 3 wizard before I stopped playing.

I had a look at the mappe of Ankh-Morepork yesterday. The Least Gate used to me 2E then 4N of the UU gates. Now... sheesh! And the Street Of 7+1 Deadly Sins has gone. (or moved) that was my quick way to the Drum until I learned to blorple jewellery. I wonder if the old spells are still there.

That's not the least of the changes. ;^) The Counterweight Continent is in the game, as well as some other new areas (like Sto Lat). There are more languages. There are terrains. There were massive additions to the crafts skill tree some time back, as well as other tweaks to the different skill trees (so the skills-stats relationships are now different, and older Players were given a 2nd skills rearrange.) We have a nationality now, though apart from the optional accents and differences in starting languages based on starting locations, that's probably mainly for RP at this stage. There are Player Councils for some of the larger cities. Player housing and player shops have been implemented... Lots and lots and lots of changes. :^)
