denLast night as I prepared Rexie's Milk And Termite Mush, the echidna dived straight into the dish and schlurped down half a teaspoon of the gruel before I could mix in the milk. So I added another half-teaspoon and the milk, and let her go for it. Before the feed she weighed 504 grams.Afterward, 554 grams. That's 50 grams, or 10% of her body weight in one sitting.

Date: 1 May 2003 17:41 (UTC)I don't think I could manage 10 percent of mine. I wonder how many mashed termites would equal 10% of Rexie's weight. If she has to eat half her weight in termites and ants every day, even if she were to only weigh ten punds I bet the pile would be impressive. And by eating them, how many houses does she save?:)
