I propose a new unit to measure degrees of seperation on Live Journal. It should be called mactavish numbers.

I have a mactavish number of "1"

Your mactavish number is still 1 because you're on mary's friends list. Your friends who are not on her list have a mactavish number of 2. And so on.

And I keep finding people who say things like, "I love bats," but when I check, they don't seem to know dewhitton -- yet. :)
